A new wine from the Golan Heights Winery - a 50/50% blend of two Portuguese grapes - Tinta Cão and Touriga Nacional. A deep, dark, concentrated wine with rich tannins that are already well integrated yet retain some bite. After some time in the glass the tannins actually seemed to strengthen up again sowing the need for more air (not sure what that means about its aging ability - was a little strange). A nice nose of red fruit on the nose which follows through onto the palate accompanied by dark chocolate, some toasty oak and Mediterranean spices.
