The icon wine of the Tishbi Estate Winery is made this year from a unique blend of red grapes Cabernet Sauvignon, 50%, and Merlot 40%, grown in the desert area in Ben Gurion's kibbutz Sde Boker with an addition of mountain-spiced Cabernet Franc grapes, 10%. The wine was aged for 24 months in French oak barrels before release. It has distinctive aromas of cassis, blackberry, and plum with a hint of mint, vanilla, and mocha from the oak barrels. It will keep nicely until 2012. .
